Suppo I of Spoleto

Suppo I of Spoleto (760-5 March 824) was the Duke of Spoleto from 822 to 824, succeeding Winiges of Spoleto and preceding Adelard of Spoleto.

Biography[]

Suppo was born in 760, and in 817 he was made the ruler of Brescia, Parma, Piacenza, Modena, and Bergamo in Italy, and in 818 he crushed Bernard of Italy's rebellion against Louis the Pious. He was granted the Duchy of Spoleto by Louis as a reward, and he died on 5 March 824.
