Jahanmehr (98 BC-36 BC) was a general of the Parthian Empire.
Biography[]
Jahanmehr was from Sanandaj in present-day Kurdistan Province, Iran, and he became a general of the Parthian Empire, commanding their army in the 55 BC invasion of Roman Syria. At the Battle of Resafa, Jahanmehr's army was defeated by the Roman Republic, and he barely escaped the annihilation of his army. Jahanmehr died in 36 BC of a fever.
