Ivan Urdinola Grajales

Ivan "El Enano" Urdinola Grajales (died 1995) was one of the bosses of the Norte del Valle Cartel of Colombia.

Biography[]

Ivan Urdinola was one of the top leaders of the Norte del Valle Cartel alongside Gerda Salazar, Henry Loaiza Ceballos, and the cartel's boss Orlando Henao Montoya. In 1995, Urdinola's mass was interrupted by gunshots outside of the church, and Urdinola and his bodyguards left the building to inspect the scene. Urdinola had one of his bodyguards shoot a red sports car that was parked outside of the church, and his bodyguard approached the vehicle, having recognized it. Just then, the car exploded, killing Urdinola and several of his bodyguards. The bombing was orchestrated by Cali Cartel godfather Helmer Herrera, who had just survived an assassination attempt in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico.
