Ivan Archivaldo "El Chapito" Guzman Salazar (born 1983) was the son of Sinaloa Cartel boss Joaquin Guzman Loera and Alejandrina Maria Salazar Hernandez.

Ivan Archivaldo Guzman Salazar was born in 1983, the son of Joaquin Guzman Loera and Alejandrina Maria Salazar Hernandez. He was nicknamed "El Chapito", as he was the son of the infamous "El Chapo". On 15 February 2005, he was arrested for speeding in a sports car, and his father, who did not want to see his son be murdered in prison as his brother Arturo Guzman Loera was, decided to give up his own ally Alfredo Beltran Leyva in exchange for his son's release. In 2015, while his father was in prison, Ivan claimed that his father had named him as his successor, and he disputed the leadership with Damaso Lopez and told Ismael Zambada Garcia that he did not need anyone to supervise him anymore. Ivan claimed that his father had sent him a letter confirming the succession, but Damaso doubted Ivan's leadership abilities due to his youth.
