Ja'far of Gondar (738-) was the Count of Gondar under the Kingdom of Berbera.
Biography[]
Ja'far was born in 738, the son of Caliph al-Mansur, and he was a prince of the Abbasid Caliphate. In 786, he was invited to the court of King Muhammad I of Berbera, having married his mother Queen Basr of Berbera, and he was granted the County of Gondar by his stepson.
