Charicles

Charicles was a Greek physician in the Roman Empire. In 33 AD, he was sent to Capri in southern Italy to give Emperor Tiberius a checkup, as it was said that Tiberius was half-paralyzed after the death of his close friend Marcus Cocceius Nerva. Charicles believed that he would last a year if he was lucky, and he was dismissed. Charicles would become Caligula's physician after the death of Tiberius in 37, and he oversaw the birth of his daughter Drusilla the Younger while also attempting to heal his wife Julia Drusilla's fever; he failed, and she died.
