Casten Nemra
Casten Nemra (29 July 1971-) was President of the Marshall Islands from 11 January 2016, succeeding Christopher Loeak.


Casten Nemra was born on 29 July 1971 in Ebeye, Kwajalein, Marshall Islands. On 11 January 2016 he was elected as President by parliament, beating Senator Alvin Jacklick by a slight 17-16 vote; he was the second commoner to hold the office of president. However, on 26 January a vote of no confidence defeated him, ending his presidency within two weeks of taking office.
