Adelchis I of Spoleto
Adelchis I of Spoleto (805-861) was the Duke of Spoleto from 824 to 861, succeeding Mauring of Spoleto and preceding Lambert I of Nantes.


Adelchis was the second son of Suppo I of Spoleto, and in 824 he became the Duke of Spoleto. Later, he acquired the County of Parma in the 830s, the County of Cremona in 841, and the County of Brescia soon after. His daughter Engelberga of Italy married King Louis II of Italy.
